On Saturday, a convoy of food aid dispatched by the Jordan Armed Forces arrived in the Republic of Yemen, as part of the humanitarian efforts undertaken by the Kingdom to alleviate the difficult living conditions facing the Yemeni people.

The aid convoy consisted of 13 trucks carrying 54,600 food parcels, which were delivered to the relevant authorities overland via Saudi territory for distribution to the Yemeni people, contributing to meeting their basic needs in affected areas.

The Jordan Armed Forces affirmed that the dispatch of this convoy comes in implementation of the directives of His Majesty King Abdullah II, Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, and embodies Jordan’s steadfast approach in supporting brotherly nations and standing by them in various humanitarian circumstances.

For their part, the Yemeni authorities expressed their appreciation and gratitude to the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, its leadership and people, for this humanitarian initiative, which reflects the depth of fraternal relations between the two countries and contributes to alleviating the suffering of citizens there.

It is worth noting that the aid convoy departed the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan last Tuesday after completing all necessary technical arrangements, in coordination with the relevant authorities, to ensure its smooth and timely delivery to its beneficiaries in the Republic of Yemen.
