An officer at the General Command of the Jordan Armed Forces, stated that the Southern Military Region, in coordination with military security agencies and the Anti-Narcotics Department, thwarted this morning, Tuesday, an attempt to smuggle a quantity of narcotics using two drones on the western front, within its area of responsibility.The officer added that the Border Guard forces in the Southern Military Region detected the drones, applied the rules of engagement, and dealt with them by shooting them down inside Jordanian territory, transferring the seized items to the competent authorities.He affirmed that the Armed Forces deal with any infiltration or smuggling attempt with full force and determination, preventing anyone from undermining Jordan’s national security.
