The 17th Prince Faisal Tank Battalion, a unit under the 2nd Mechanized Brigade – Martyr Wasfi Al-Tal, part of the Eastern Military Region, conducted a command post exercise titled “Decisive Response” on Tuesday at the Simulation Center. The exercise was observed by the Inspector General of the Jordan Armed Forces and the Commander of the Eastern Military Region.During the exercise, briefings were presented on the course of the training, its objectives, and the operational environment, along with the various scenarios the unit might encounter in both conventional and non-conventional warfare settings.The simulation-based exercise, which was conducted without the deployment of actual troops, aimed to assess the unit's ability to carry out its assigned missions and respond effectively to potential threats. It also tested the administrative system and provided training for commanders and staff officers on planning procedures and decision-making processes.This exercise is part of JAF’ regular training programs, designed to enhance the operational readiness, efficiency, and combat effectiveness of its formations and units, ensuring their ability to meet mission requirements and address future security challenges.
