The Southern Military Zone successfully thwarted an attempted incursion by an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) along its western front, within its designated area of responsibility. An officer from the General Command of the Jordan Armed Forces said: "Border Guard units operating under the Southern Military Zone, in coordination with relevant military security agencies, intercepted a drone attempting to cross the border from west to east. Upon detection and continuous monitoring, rules of engagement were applied, resulting in the UAV being neutralized and brought down inside Jordanian territory." He reaffirmed the JAF’ unwavering commitment to employing all available capabilities and resources to counter any form of infiltration or smuggling, thereby safeguarding the security and stability of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan.
