On Sunday, His Majesty King Abdullah II, the Supreme Commander of the Jordan Armed Forces, observed a joint security exercise carried out by the Jordan Armed Forces – Arab Army, the General Intelligence Directorate, and the Public Security Directorate at the Special Police Training Center. The exercise was attended by the Director of the General Intelligence Directorate, Major General Ahmad Husni; the Director of Public Security, Major General Dr. Obaidallah Maaytah; and the Acting Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, Assistant for Operations and Training, Brigadier General Najji Al-Manaseer. The exercise included several scenarios, missions, and security applications jointly executed by the armed forces and security agencies using advanced technology, drones, and robots. It featured live fire drills with various weapons, raid operations supported directly by Royal Jordanian Air Force aircraft, and simulated responses to threats involving chemical, biological weapons, and different types of explosives. The exercise commander emphasized that the drill aims to enhance the national security system based on constant readiness and comprehensive capability. His Majesty commended the participants’ skills, high levels of military and security performance, professionalism, and readiness in handling various circumstances and challenges.
