An officer from the General Command of the Jordan Armed Forces, stated that the Southern Military Region, in coordination with the military security agencies and the Anti-Narcotics Directorate, successfully foiled an attempt to smuggle narcotic substances using a drone on its western frontier, within its area of responsibility, on Saturday afternoon.The officer added that the Border Guard Forces in the Southern Military Region applied the rules of engagement after detecting and tracking the drone. They engaged and brought down the drone inside Jordanian territory, and the seized materials were transferred to the relevant authorities.He emphasized that the Jordan Armed Forces are working with full strength and determination to prevent infiltration and smuggling attempts, ensuring the security and stability of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan.
