A delegation from the Nasser Medical Complex, one of the Ministry of Health hospitals in Palestine, visited today, Thursday, the Jordanian Field Hospital – South Gaza/5. They were welcomed by the hospital's commanding officer.The delegation was briefed on the medical and therapeutic services provided by the hospital to alleviate the humanitarian suffering of the residents of the Gaza Strip, caused by the Israeli war and the resumption of military operations in various areas of the region.During the visit, the delegation was introduced to the efforts of the Royal Initiative "Restoring Hope" in fitting prosthetic limbs for amputees in the Gaza Strip. Since the launch of the initiative during the war, a total of 408 prosthetic limbs, both upper and lower, have been fitted, helping to restore hope to the faces of those who have lost limbs among the people of Gaza.For its part, the delegation praised the efforts of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, led by His Majesty King Abdullah II, in supporting the Palestinian people and defending their just cause. They also commended the vital role played by the hospital in supporting and assisting the healthcare sector in Gaza, in addition to the presence of Jordanian field hospitals in Palestine, which contribute to enhancing its medical capabilities in support of the Palestinian people.
