The Military Media Directorate of the General Command of the Jordan Armed Forces – the Arab Army issued the special edition "1232" of Al-Aqsa Magazine for February 2025, on the occasion of the 63rd birthday of His Majesty King Abdullah II, the Supreme Commander of the Jordanian Armed Forces.The cover of the magazine featured a photo of His Majesty the Supreme Commander in royal attire.This special edition was released as an expression of loyalty and allegiance to the Hashemite leadership, and to document His Majesty's achievements in advancing Jordan's developmental journey and his regional and international role.The magazine, edited by the Director of Military Media, Brigadier General Mustafa Al-Hiyari, included a number of articles and diverse topics highlighting key milestones in His Majesty the King's journey since assuming his constitutional powers. These topics emphasized his role in supporting the Palestinian cause and preserving Islamic holy sites, as well as his efforts to promote regional stability through dialogue and peace initiatives. The magazine also featured interviews with several comrades-in-arms who served alongside His Majesty in the Armed Forces at the time.It is worth noting that the magazine began as an official newspaper, with its first issue published in November 1969. It later transitioned into a weekly magazine under the name "Al-Aqsa Magazine" starting with issue 373 in May 1977. Since 1985, it has been published as a monthly magazine focusing on military affairs and fields of science and knowledge.
