The Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, Major General Yousef Hunaiti, received a delegation of retired military personnel and veterans on Monday at the General Command of the Jordan Armed Forces – Arab Army. This visit aligns with the Armed Forces' efforts to maintain strong ties with its retirees in recognition of their service and sacrifices for the nation.

Major General Hunaiti welcomed the retired military personnel, conveying the greetings and appreciation of His Majesty, the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces. He reaffirmed the General Command’s commitment to implementing His Majesty's directives and vision to care for and support retired military personnel, recognizing them as a steadfast and vital backup to the Armed Forces in defending the nation and safeguarding its achievements.

The delegation was briefed on the latest updates and developments within the Armed Forces across various defensive, developmental, and humanitarian sectors. Key accomplishments from the current year were also highlighted.

The retirees toured the internal and external facilities of the General Command, which have been established following modern engineering standards to enable personnel to perform their duties effectively and efficiently.

At the conclusion of the visit, which was attended by several senior Armed Forces officers, the delegation praised the efforts and high professionalism demonstrated by the members of the Armed Forces. They expressed their appreciation for the pivotal role played by the Armed Forces in maintaining the security and stability of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan.
