On Monday, Major General Yousef Ahmed Al-Hunaiti, the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, welcomed Admiral Renato Rodrigues de Aguiar Freire, the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff of Brazil, and his accompanying delegation at his office at the General Command of the Jordanian Armed Forces, the Arab Army.

A military welcoming ceremony was held for the guest, where the ceremonial guard outlined to greet him.

In addition to discussing aspects of coordination and cooperation in the field of joint military training, His Excellency and the guest also talked about ways to improve bilateral relations in a way that benefits the armed forces of the two friendly nations.

"Jordanian-Brazilian relations constitute a model to be emulated in facing various challenges and difficulties, and cooperation continues in all military fields, through the use of mutual expertise and capabilities”, Al-Hunaiti added.

Admiral Freire praised the crucial role the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan played in establishing security and stability in the region and emphasized the depth of the strong relations between the two friendly countries as well as their shared security vision and progress towards achieving regional and international stability.

In the presence of multiple senior military officers, Al-Hunaiti and the visiting delegation heard several military briefings that outlined the areas of mutual cooperation between the two friendly nations and reflected the nature of regional developments at different scales.

The Brazilian and Jordanian armed forces inked a bilateral military cooperation agreement during the meeting to deepen their friendly military relationship and to share military knowledge and best practices.
