With the participation of 34 countries, the activities of the multinational drill “Bright Star 2023” were launched in the Arab Republic of Egypt. The 14-day drill aims to enhance cooperation, joint coordination, and exchange of experiences between participating countries in the field of joint military training, in addition to enhancing security and participatory efforts in building capabilities to confront threats to reach the highest levels of efficiency, readiness, and professionalism. The exercise includes methods of combating terrorism, combating explosive devices, training in air and sea landing operations, attack diving, medical insurance operations, performing live ammunition from various weapons, and training in storming terrorist hotspots. The Jordan Armed Forces participated in the exercise, carrying out many major operational duties, especially in the field of fighting in built-up areas, and combating terrorism and piracy.
