The 77th Independence Day ceremony took place at the Royal Jordanian Command and Staff College in the presence of the steering committee members and the College Commandant, Brigadier General Zaher Al-Miqdadi. "Today we celebrate an occasion close to the hearts of all Jordanians, which we are proud of, and it coincides with many national occasions, the auspicious wedding of the Crown Prince, and the day of the army whose personnel were described by His Majesty the Supreme Commander as the most truthful in words and the sincerest in deeds," the college commandant said in a speech to the students in the joint 63rd Command and Staff Course 27. During his speech, the Commander went over the historical phases that the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan has experienced from its founding to the present. Poetry readings, a photo exhibit of historical and patriotic artwork, and musical performances by Jordanian Armed Forces musicians were all part of the ceremony, which was held at the college. The musicians sang patriotic songs about their country, their leader, and JAF, which is a representation of its security and stability.
