The Helicopter Unit Congo/2 of the Jordan Armed Forces – Arab Army, deployed as part of peacekeeping duties in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, conducted a specialized training course on Tuesday in cooperation with Guatemalan Special Operations Forces, within the framework of field coordination and enhancing interoperability and communication among units participating in the United Nations mission.The course aims to exchange military expertise and strengthen cooperation in requesting and coordinating close air support, managing rotary-wing aviation operations in operational environments, executing aerial reconnaissance and surveillance missions, and securing supply and logistical support through air assets across diverse terrain, in line with mission requirements within the theatre of operations.The program included specialized lectures and practical field exercises addressing command and control mechanisms, risk management, and the enhancement of operational discipline, in addition to awareness sessions contributing to raising the combat efficiency and technical readiness of participating units.It is noteworthy that the Jordanian Helicopter Unit Congo/2 is considered among the distinguished units within the international forces participating in the stabilization support mission in the Democratic Republic of the Congo. The unit arrived in the mission area on the 7th of this month, continuing to perform its duties with efficiency and professionalism, reflecting the advanced professional standards of the Jordan Armed Forces – Arab Army.
