The Military Quality Control Laboratories organized, on Monday, the activities of the second annual Scientific Day at the Jordan Armed Forces Hotel, attended by the Assistant for Planning, Organization and Defense Resources.The Director of the Military Laboratories affirmed that the General Command of the Jordan Armed Forces – Arab Army, guided by the Royal vision toward institutional excellence and an ambitious strategic outlook seeking leadership and distinction, has achieved a qualitative leap through obtaining both national and international accreditation since 2021, reflecting its commitment to applying the highest global standards in accuracy and reliability of results.He explained that the laboratories are supported by qualified expertise and the latest technologies, which has contributed to enhancing technical performance efficiency and expanding strategic partnerships, consolidating the principle of institutional integration and sustainable development. He emphasized that the achievements realized are the result of continuous support and genuine institutional determination.For his part, the President of the World Organization for Food Legislation Sciences stated that organizing the Scientific Day embodies an institutional commitment to promoting excellence in food analysis sciences, supporting national capabilities in food safety and quality, and enhancing the readiness of conformity assessment systems and compliance with international standards, with a focus on food safety issues and building specialized professional competencies.In turn, the Director General of the Jordan Food and Drug Administration expressed pride in the existing partnership with the General Command of the Jordan Armed Forces – Arab Army, stressing the importance of institutional integration in protecting public health through the exchange of analytical data, implementation of studies and inter-laboratory comparisons, and unification of testing protocols, thereby strengthening evidence-based regulatory decisions and enhancing the reliability of results.The Scientific Day aims to review the latest scientific methodologies in food testing, allergen management, and strengthening consumer protection through the application of the highest standards of control and quality assurance.On the sidelines of the event, a memorandum of understanding was signed between the Military Quality Control Laboratories and the Celiac Patients Care Charity Association, to support joint cooperation in areas related to food safety and service to beneficiary groups.The event was attended by a number of senior officers of the Jordan Armed Forces – Arab Army, representatives of the Public Security Directorate and the Jordan Customs Department, in addition to representatives of national companies and institutions specialized in laboratory testing and food safety.
