Today, Tuesday, Ambassador Daifallah Al-Fayez, Secretary-General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, delivered a lecture at the Royal Jordanian National Defense College (RJNDC) titled “The Ministry of Foreign Affairs’ Strategy and Its Role in Enhancing National Security” to the students of National Defense Course 23, in the presence of the Commandant, the Dean, and members of the faculty.Al-Fayez stated that national security is a top priority in which the state invests to preserve stability, noting that the objectives and foreign policy of the Kingdom, led by His Majesty King Abdullah II, are based on firm principles in addressing developments in regional and international affairs. He emphasized that His Majesty’s role in shaping this policy has enabled Jordan to strengthen its position as an active and influential state regionally and internationally.He explained that the Ministry’s strategy is based on effective and distinguished Jordanian diplomacy at both regional and international levels, through its continuous pursuit of the nation’s highest interests. Al-Fayez highlighted that the Ministry’s mission focuses on achieving its objectives, protecting national interests, safeguarding the Kingdom’s gains, enhancing Jordan’s role and standing regionally and internationally, serving the national economy, caring for Jordanians abroad, and improving the quality of services provided. The Ministry also relies on partnership, initiative, leadership, excellence, creativity, transparency, responsibility, and teamwork in its work.Ambassador Al-Fayez reviewed the latest developments in regional issues, foremost among them the Palestinian issue, which remains the primary concern. He referred to Jordan’s continuous efforts, in coordination with its Arab brothers and in cooperation with the international community, to achieve a just and comprehensive peace that ensures security and stability and serves the interests of the region’s peoples.At the end of the lecture, a comprehensive discussion took place, during which the lecturer answered students’ questions and inquiries.
