The Royal Jordanian Staff College officially launched the Joint Operations Planning Course/4 on Sunday, with the participation of officers from various branches of JAF, alongside officers from friendly nations. The opening ceremony was attended by the Commandant of the College.

The two-week course is designed to prepare and qualify officers to understand and effectively apply the fundamental concepts of joint operations planning. It aims to instill a strong grasp of the joint operations terminology and principles, enhancing participants' ability to utilize operational design elements in planning joint campaigns and operations. Additionally, the course aims to hone officers' skills in identifying and analyzing centers of gravity and to introduce them to models, frameworks, and assessments for joint situation analysis and planning.

The curriculum of the course covers a wide range of topics, including the general concept of joint operations, the levels of warfare and armed conflict, the role of operational art in planning joint operations, operational design, and the sequencing of operations. It also addresses the critical roles played by various elements in joint operations planning, as well as the systematic steps involved in planning joint military operations.
