The “Defense Management in the Wider Security Context” course was officially inaugurated today, Sunday, at the Jordan Armed Forces Hotel, in cooperation with the friendly British side and in the presence of the British Defense Attaché.The course brings together participants from JAF, security agencies, various ministries and government institutions, in addition to participants from the Sultanate of Oman and the Republic of Cyprus. It aims to examine different approaches to the governance and management of defense in both advanced and transitional democracies, address key defense-related issues, and identify appropriate policies, principles, and tools to support the development of the security sector.Over the course of ten days, the program will work to strengthen participants’ understanding of national defense and security systems, while enhancing their ability to incorporate diplomacy, technology, economics, and geopolitics into effective defense governance.This marks the fifth time that the course has been held in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, as part of the annual training programs conducted by JAF aimed at enhancing the professional competence and strategic management capabilities of its personnel.
