On Monday, the Royal Naval Force and Royal Boats Command concluded the Underwater Cutting and Welding Course, held in cooperation with the Aqaba Development Corporation, the National Employment and Training Company, the Egyptian International Diving School, and Sinbad Diving Company.

The closing ceremony was attended by the Director General of NETC, the Commander of the Royal Naval Force and Boats, the CEO of Aqaba Development Corporation, the Commissioner for Youth and Tourism in the Aqaba Special Economic Zone Authority, the Chairman of the Sinbad Group, along with personnel from the Naval Force and representatives of the participating institutions—reflecting the strong coordination and integration among stakeholders of the program.

The Commander of the Royal Naval Force and Boats emphasized that the course aligns with the General Command's directives to support local communities and contribute to their development. He added that the collaboration between the Armed Forces, governmental and private institutions, and Egyptian partners represents a pioneering model of effective partnership that fosters community development.

For his part, Hussein Al-Safadi, CEO of Aqaba Development Corporation, stated that since its inception, the company has believed that true investment begins with human capital. Launching this fully funded specialized program is a practical embodiment of that belief. He described it as one of the rarest and most in-demand vocational training programs in the region.

Al-Safadi added that the program aligns with the Royal Vision to position Aqaba as a regional hub for vocational training and specialized education. He expressed gratitude to all national and international partners for their active contributions to the success of this pioneering project.

He also highlighted that this graduating cohort represents a foundational step in this field, and the company will continue supporting graduates by creating new professional opportunities and helping them become ambassadors for Jordan in highly specialized technical domains.

Omar Ali Ezz El-Din, Chairman of the Egyptian International Diving School, praised Aqaba’s strategic location, affirming its potential to become a regional center for maritime and logistics training. He credited the program’s success to the institutional partnership—especially the commitment of Aqaba Development Corporation, which fully funded the initiative and believed in the capabilities of Jordanian youth.

It is worth noting that the dry welding skills were taught at the Aqaba National Vocational Training Complex, affiliated with NETC, reinforcing the spirit of partnership among all entities involved. This approach is consistent with the company's mission to equip Jordanian youth with specialized professions that meet market needs, in line with national efforts to promote vocational and technical training.

At the end, certificates and awards were distributed to the deserving participants.
