Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, Major General Yousef Ahmad AL-Huneity, met on Monday with a delegation from the U.S. House Armed Services Committee.During the meeting, Major General AL-Huneity and the delegation discussed aspects of cooperation and joint coordination in various fields, in addition to developments on the regional and international arenas.The Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff emphasized the importance of the strategic partnership between the two friendly countries and the need to unify efforts in order to achieve international peace and security.For their part, the members of the delegation commended the efforts of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, under the leadership of His Majesty King Abdullah II, across the political and security domains, stressing the importance of Jordan’s role in humanitarian and relief efforts.The meeting was attended by several senior Jordan Armed Forces officers and the U.S. Defense Attaché in Amman.
