The 3rd Women’s Leadership Course, organized by the United Nations Women in Jordan in cooperation with the Military Women’s Affairs Directorate, concluded today, Thursday. This comes as part of national efforts to enhance and empower women in leadership positions within security and military institutions, in implementation of UN Security Council Resolution 1325 on Women, Peace, and Security.The course was held at the Marriott Hotel in Amman, with the participation of a distinguished group of female members from JAF, the Public Security Directorate, the Ministry of Interior, and the National Center for Security and Crisis Management. This reflects the state’s commitment to achieving effective institutional integration to support women’s participation in leadership and decision-making.This course continues the Armed Forces’ efforts to build the capacities of female leaders and open new horizons for their influence, with the partnership with UN Women serving as a fundamental pillar in developing specialized training programs that contribute to improving the performance and leadership readiness of participants.The week-long course focused on concepts of effective leadership, strategic planning, and other topics that enhance participants’ competencies in security and military work environments.At the end, certificates were distributed to the participants.It is noteworthy that the Women’s Leadership Course is held periodically within the framework of the national plan to implement Resolution 1325, aiming to build a solid base of female leaders capable of contributing to policy formulation and decision-making. This embodies the vision of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan to achieve equality, empower women, and enhance comprehensive and sustainable security.
