Picture News

In implementation of directives issued by His Majesty King Abdullah II, the Jordan Armed Forces, in coordination with the Civil Defense Directorate, dispatched two aircraft, firefighting vehicles, and specialized response teams today to support efforts in extinguishing wildfires across multiple regions in Syria.

JAF deployed two UH-60 Black Hawk helicopters from RJAF, equipped with advanced technical systems and manned by specialized crews, to reinforce civil defense units operating in the affected areas. The mission aims to suppress active fire zones and contain their spread, in order to protect lives and property.

Additionally, the Civil Defense Directorate dispatched fully equipped firefighting vehicles designed to operate in rugged terrain and forested areas. The teams included personnel specialized in fire suppression, rescue, and emergency medical response. Among the deployed resources were two portable water reservoirs, each with a capacity of 35 cubic meters, to enhance operational sustainability on the ground.

This mission reflects Jordan’s ongoing humanitarian commitment to standing in solidarity with the Syrian people, and the Kingdom’s active role in supporting sisterly and friendly nations during times of crisis and natural disaster.

The Syrian government, in turn, expressed its gratitude and appreciation to Jordan for its prompt response, commending the Kingdom’s humanitarian stance under the leadership of His Majesty King Abdullah II during challenging times.
