A military source from the General Command of the Jordan Armed Forces-Arab Army (JAF), stated that the Eastern Military Zone thwarted, on Tuesday, within its area of responsibility and along its front, an attempt to smuggle narcotics using a drone. The source added that "border guards in the Eastern Military Zone, in coordination with military security agencies and the Anti-Narcotics Department, detected a drone attempting to cross the border illegally. The drone was intercepted and downed, along with its cargo, inside Jordanian territory." The source clarified that the seized items were handed over to the relevant authorities. The source emphasized that the Jordan Armed Forces remain vigilant against anyone who dares to compromise the security and resources of the nation and will deal firmly and decisively to prevent all forms of infiltration or smuggling attempts.
