On Monday, Major General Nicholas Cowley, Commandant of the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst, visited the Royal Jordanian Military College, where he was received by the College Commandant.In a welcoming address, the Commandant of the Royal Jordanian Military College highlighted the significance of the visit as a key step in strengthening areas of mutual cooperation and as a testament to the solid strategic partnership that binds the two institutions in both friendly nations.During the visit, Major General Cowley was briefed on the training programs and academic curricula offered by the college, which are designed to keep pace with the latest developments in military science and training methodologies, aiming to achieve the highest levels of efficiency and readiness among cadets.General Cowley toured the college’s facilities and viewed its modern equipment and advanced training infrastructure. He expressed great admiration for the high level of training and discipline that distinguishes the college.It is worth noting that the Royal Jordanian Military College, since its establishment in 1950, has supplied the Jordan Armed Forces and the armed forces of brotherly countries with well-qualified officers equipped with knowledge and expertise. In 2004, under directives from His Majesty the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, the College adopted the foundations and curricula of the British Royal Military Academy Sandhurst, selecting university degree holders and training them for one year in various military subjects to qualify them as platoon-level field officers.
