A military source in the General Command of the Jordan Armed Forces – Arab Army stated that the Northern Military Zone successfully foiled two separate infiltration attempts along its border area on Tuesday.The source explained that the first incident involved an individual attempting to illegally cross the border, where rules of engagement were applied, leading to his arrest and subsequent referral to the relevant authorities.In a separate incident, the Northern Military Zone intercepted two boats attempting to cross illegally from Syrian territory via the Al-Wehda Dam. One of the boats was seized and a person on board was apprehended, while the second boat retreated back into Syrian territory.The source affirmed that the Jordan Armed Forces – Arab Army continue to operate with strength and determination, mobilizing all available resources to counter such activities and prevent all forms of infiltration and smuggling, in order to safeguard the security and stability of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan.
