The joint tactical exercise “Jabal/6” commenced on Monday, executed by the Rapid Intervention Rangers Battalion/61—one of the units under the Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan Rapid Intervention Brigade—with the participation of a French Special Forces team and in the presence of the brigade commander.The four-week exercise aims to train participants on joint coordination and rapid response to any emergency, as well as enhance their ability to operate effectively under various conditions and challenges imposed by the nature of the operational environment. The goal is to ensure the teams' capacity to make swift and effective decisions.It includes a range of activities such as mountain warfare operations, transportation of missions and ammunition via aerial ropeways, rappelling from rocky cliffs, free climbing, ground medical evacuation in mountainous terrain, logistical resupply operations, and the deployment of reconnaissance elements and snipers in rugged environments.This exercise is part of the Jordan Armed Forces ongoing training programs in cooperation with allied militaries. These programs aim to exchange military expertise, enhance combat readiness and operational efficiency, and develop participants’ skills and capabilities in addressing diverse challenges.
