The Southern Military Region thwarted an attempt to smuggle narcotics, a small drone, and drone control devices early this Monday morning along its western frontier within its area of responsibility.An officer from the General Command of the Jordan Armed Forces stated: "The Border Guard forces in the Southern Military Region, in coordination with military security agencies and the Anti-Narcotics Directorate, succeeded in foiling an attempt to smuggle drugs, a small drone, and drone control devices that were attempting to cross the border." He clarified that engagement rules were applied after the items were detected and monitored, with the drone being intercepted and brought down within Jordanian territory. The confiscated items were then handed over to the relevant authorities.He also affirmed that JAF are determined to continue utilizing all available resources and capabilities to prevent any forms of infiltration or smuggling, ensuring the security and stability of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan.
