Minister of Government Communication and Government Spokesperson Mohammad Momani emphasized the media’s critical role as a "mirror of the state and a tool for shaping public opinion towards national goals". It came as part of a lecture on the "National Media Strategy" at the Royal Jordanian Command and Staff College on Monday, addressing students of the 65th Joint Staff Course/29, including participants from friendly countries, and attended by the college's commander and faculty. Al-Momani confirmed that, "The national media strategy is a comprehensive plan aimed at directing and improving the performance of the media in the country to achieve its major national goals, whether political, economic, social, or security-related." He emphasized that this strategy takes into account both internal and external challenges and adopts an integrated approach to using the media as a tool to achieve national objectives. He further noted that the media strategy is characterized by its comprehensiveness, as it encompasses all fields and media institutions. It is distinguished by the diversity of tools and its flexibility, allowing it to adapt to the rapid changes in the media and political environment. He also added that the primary objectives of the national media strategy change according to the needs and challenges of the country, with all of them aiming to strengthen national unity, support national causes, confront external campaigns, enhance the country's image internationally, as well as promote education and awareness. Momani reviewed the challenges facing the national media strategy, both internal and external. Among the most prominent challenges are the use of modern technology and digital media, counter media campaigns, changing public interests and attitudes, in addition to cultural and social diversity. At the end, an extensive discussion took place, during which the minister answered the attendees' questions and inquiries.
