Under royal directives, the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, Major General Yusef Ahmed Al-Hnaity, instructed to equip and send an integrated Jordanian field hospital to the Republic of Turkey, to help treat the wounded and injured as a result of the violent earthquake that struck areas in the south of the country.

Al-Hnaity met the hospital staff upon their departure, and conveyed to them the greetings of His Majesty the Supreme Commander King Abdullah II, calling on them to be the best representatives of our Jordan Armed Forces and to work in the spirit of one team in the mission land, and not to hesitate in providing service to those in need.

Meanwhile, the Director of Military Operations, Brigadier General Hasan Shanatwah, said in the farewell speech to the hospital staff: "The field hospital was equipped in record time and under the direct supervision of the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff because time in such circumstances is an important factor, and this reflects the readiness and high readiness of our armed forces to deal with such circumstances and developments".

The field hospital, which was transported on planes from the Royal Jordanian Air Force, includes an integrated medical team consisting of 110 people, including a doctor, nurse, and administrator, in addition to general surgery clinics, orthopedics, arteries and blood vessels, maxillofacial, chest, nerves, cosmetic, children, and accident surgery, a radiology laboratory, a pharmacy, two operation rooms, ambulance and emergency rooms, and various medical and therapeutic aids.

It is noteworthy that Jordan Armed Forces have sent many field hospitals to several brotherly and friendly countries, out of their belief in their humanitarian role in helping and supporting countries during crises, accidents, and natural disasters.

The farewell occasion was attended by several senior officers of the Jordan Armed Forces - the Arab Army, the Secretary General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, the Turkish ambassador, and the Turkish military attaché in Amman.
