Under the directive of His Majesty King Abdullah II, the Jordan Armed Forces - Arab Army has dispatched today, Wednesday, a squadron of military aircraft carrying essential humanitarian, medical, and pharmaceutical supplies to the residents of Gaza Strip.This operation is the first of its kind and is part of the "Humanitarian Bridge" flights to Gaza, which was recently announced by His Majesty in his speech at the United Nations and his address at the Arab-Islamic Summit in Riyadh, where he called on everyone to join this initiative.Eight military aircraft took off from Jordan heading towards Gaza, carrying over 7 tons of humanitarian aid, including food, medicine, health supplies, and child-related materials.These supplies were transported from the Al-Qarara area and delivered to the World Food Programme (WFP) in Gaza to be distributed to the residents within the Gaza Strip.Jordan continues to provide support to the people of Gaza through various means. The total aid sent so far has reached 56,573 tons, including food, relief supplies, medicines, and health and medical equipment.Since October 7, there have been about 4,082 trucks shipped from Jordan to the Gaza Strip. Furthermore, 266 airdrops have been carried out in collaboration with friendly and fraternal nations, 123 Jordanian airdrops have been carried out, and 53 planes carrying relief have been dispatched to the Strip via Al-Arish Airport.
