The Southern Military Zone thwarted three attempts to smuggle large quantities of narcotics using drones on its western frontier within its area of responsibility early this Friday morning.An officer in the General Command of the Jordanian Armed Forces stated: "Border Guard forces in the Southern Military Region, in coordination with military security agencies and the Anti-Narcotics Department, thwarted smuggling attempts involving drones attempting to cross the border illegally. Engagement rules were applied, and the drones' cargo was downed within Jordanian territory, with the seized items transferred to the relevant authorities."He affirmed that the Jordanian Armed Forces are committed to utilizing their various capabilities and resources to prevent all forms of infiltration and smuggling by force, in order to maintain the security and stability of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan.
