The Association's affairs are overseen by the (Higher Commission of the Association), which is chaired by Her Majesty Queen Rania Al Abdullah, and the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff acts as the Vice-President, along with the membership of five military members and three civilians. Furthermore, the Association Higher Commission’s president is appointed by a Royal Decree. When required, the Higher Commission meets at the Vice-invitation, where a meeting's quorum is created when the majority of its members are present, including the Vice-President, and it makes decisions by a majority of votes cast by at least half of its members. By a decision of the Higher Commission, an Executive Committee of the Association was formed, to implement the general policy of the Association through its monthly meetings, under the chairmanship of the Chief of Staff for Personnel and Logistics and the membership of five officers. The Association’s Objectives: 1.Providing aid and assistance to military members and their families. 2. Providing awareness, education and guidance for active and retired military members and their families. 3.Training and qualification of the families of active and retired military members. 4.Providing job opportunities to alleviate poverty and unemployment, and raising the standard of living for the military members by granting small-scale developmental loans to their families. 5.Carrying out any social activity that benefits the military members and their families. The Association Tasks and Responsibilities: 1.Offering immediate assistance to the families of martyrs and those of the deceased soldiers. 2.Monthly subsidies for orphans and widows of martyrs, deceased military members to those who were single and looking after their parents. Allocating monthly subsidies to the orphans and widows of martyrs and the deceased, and to the parents of the deceased singles, whom he/she supported during his/her lifetime. 3.Offering lump-sum or monthly subsidies to poor retired and laid-off military members, who are unable to make a living owing to a disability or illness acquired while serving. 4.Allocating aids to the unmarried or married brothers and sisters of the martyred or deceased military members during service, provided their income is insufficient to fulfill their basic necessities. 5.Active and retired military patients, as well as any member of their family or companions, who have the approval of the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff to be treated outside the Kingdom, based on the recommendation of competent medical references, will be reimbursed for their travel expenditures. 6.Assistance in repaying the advances balances for the debts of the deceased military members, which were granted to them from the Officers Cooperation Fund or the Enlisted Provident Fund. 7.Establishment of centers to train and qualify families of active and retired military members, to pursue professions that are commensurate with the requirements of the domestic and foreign labor market. 8.Establishment of productive projects and carrying out social activities that enhance the financial resources of the Association. 9.Offering non-profit loans to the families of active military members who suffer from financial hardship. Department of Research and Social Welfare The Department of Research and Social Welfare was established within the organizational structure of the “Queen Rania Al Abdullah Association for the Care of the Military and Their Families”; to serve as a portal through which the Jordan Armed Forces' General Command may monitor the socioeconomic situation of active and retired military members, as well as the families of the martyrs, and check on their issues wherever they are. Furthermore, the Department aims at communicating the aforementioned members’ demands transparently and clearly to decision makers through a trained and qualified social research team, capable of assessing the social and psychological situation of the families being visited. Objectives of the Department of Research and Social Welfare Strengthening social work and social security for military members’ families to promote family stability and cohesiveness, while also protecting them from negative consequences, particularly in cases of poverty and persons with disabilities. This Department was established in response to the lofty Royal Vision and the Government's plan to make a qualitative shift in methods and mechanisms for providing services to the target groups, in an approach that aligns with best practices in funding small initiatives, to convert the Association's Fund from an aid fund to a development and employment one. Objectives of the Department of Local Community Development and Projects 1.Conducting development and employment studies in the Governorates and regions. 2.Holding training and qualification courses, in cooperation with the Enhanced Productivity Centers (Eradah) that are spread throughout all the Kingdom’s Governorates, for the families of the active and retired military members, to enable them to pursue professions that fit the requirements of the domestic and foreign labor market. 3.Creating job opportunities for the children of the active and retired military members, by taking advantage of the loan initiative for small projects. 4.Establishing productive projects, and carrying out social activities that enhance the financial resources of the Association. 5.Developing comprehensive initiatives to promote awareness of the value of self-employment and the role of small businesses in alleviating poverty and unemployment. 6.Following-up on initiatives that the Association has funded, on a regular basis, in order to improve their performance by offering technical assistance to their owners. The Association Achievements: 1.Since its establishment, “Queen Rania Al Abdullah Association for the Care of the Military and Their Families” has made numerous contributions to the development of the local community in all of the Kingdom's Governorates, including providing one-time and recurring assistance, as well as granting loans to small projects for the families of martyrs, disabled soldiers, retirees, and those who died while serving in the military. In addition, the Association has provided financial assistance to active members who were experiencing financial difficulties as a result of their children's mental, motor, or auditory impairments. Further, the Association has always inspected the aforementioned categories’ social and economic situations through a field survey, conducted by the Association's social research teams, in order to identify the scope of the problem and propose appropriate remedies. 2.The Association provided financial aid to active and retired military members who applied for financial aid, with a rate of (2,500) cases. 3.The Association pays (500) JD, as an immediate aid to the families of officers and other ranks in the event of martyrdom. 4.In collaboration with the Ministry of Social Development, assisting in the process of granting loans to families of active military members, with low income, to establish small projects worth (5000) JD. 5.Offering food coupons, worth (50) JD per coupon, during the holy month of Ramadan every year to families benefiting from the Association, including families of active and retired military members, and families of the deceased and martyrs. 6.Offering a parcel of food supplies, during the holy month of Ramadan every year, to families benefiting from the Association, including families of active and retired military members, and families of the deceased and martyrs. 7.Offering wheelchairs for adults, as some were distributed to beneficiaries. 8.The Association built an internal network to connect and upgrade its system throughout the past years, as well as an electronic archiving system to safeguard records from loss and destruction, and to facilitate and categorize documents. 9.Land plots are now being allocated in the remaining Governorates of the Kingdom. The Association’s Branches : 1.Ma’an Governorate/Al-Marigha, second floor of the hospitality suite at Prince Hashim Bin Al Hussein High School/Almarigha, as school of the Directorate of Education and Military Culture. 2.Jerash and Ajloun Governorates, at Princess Haya Bint Al Hussein Military Hospital. 3.Mafraq Governorate, at King Talal bin Al Hussein Military Hospital. A five-year strategic plan was drawn up for the Association (2018-2022); which the Center for Cultural Learning Methods and Skills volunteered to conduct. It is intended to establish a model center for autism and mental disabilities in Jerash Governorate, to be constructed on a property held by the organization, and is concerned with individuals with mental impairments and autism, in order to assist families of active and retired military members, as well as martyrs’ families, who benefit from the Association. The Association has received these requirements and the financial cost to establish that Center, and many parties were addressed to provide financial support for this project, whose goal is purely humanitarian. Currently, work is underway to provide financial support to establish the Center. Future Prospects: 1.The "Queen Rania Al Abdullah Association for the Care of Military and Their Families" aspires to be a model of excellence and a success story based on sound strategic planning, with the aim of achieving the main goal of its establishment; which is to provide assistance to the military members and their families, to enable them to meet the life challenges and to focus on their strength elements, and utilize them to raise living standards, as well as inspire those members to work constructively and boost self-confidence. 2.In line with the national objectives and Royal Initiatives, which include raising the quality of services provided to recipients to international best practices, the "Queen Rania Al Abdullah Association for the Care of Military and Their Families" has developed a strategy plan for the coming years (2018-2022), anticipating all challenges and expanding on what has already been accomplished. 3.For the purposes of defining the strategic objectives for the coming years, the main steps that were followed in preparing the strategic plan (2018-2022) included analyzing the internal and external environment, reviewing relevant laws and regulations, reviewing the Association’s vision, mission, core values system and strategic objectives for the years; taking into consideration the simplification of administrative procedures, reviewing the experiences of others, making qualitative comparisons for that, setting clear indicators and goals for the Association for the next phase, and showing the Association’s actual achievements for the previous years and the percentages of changes that have occurred. 4.The plan for the years (2018-2022) aims to build an effective partnership between the Association and those concerned with raising the level of its performance, including employees, members, official and media institutions, civil society institutions and donors. In addition, the Association plans to participate in the implementation of the State policies and plans, which would improve the living conditions of the military members and their families. Further, the Association seeks to implement these policies in cooperation with the concerned partners. 5.Throughout the future, working to open more branches in the Kingdom's remaining governorates. 6.Completing the procedures for allocating plots of land for the benefit of the Association in the remaining Governorates of the kingdom 7.Exploiting and investing the Association's lands in Amman, Zarqa and Jerash, as well as securing long-term financial resources for the Association. 8.Providing the Association with competent and experienced individuals to be trained and hired on a permanent basis. 9.Finding a steady source of income for the Association's fund, by establishing an investment project on the Association's property. 5.Offering food coupons, worth (50) JD per coupon, during the holy month of Ramadan every year to families benefiting from the Association, including families of active and retired military members, and families of the deceased and martyrs.
6.Offering a parcel of food supplies, during the holy month of Ramadan every year, to families benefiting from the Association, including families of active and retired military members, and families of the deceased and martyrs.
7.Offering wheelchairs for adults, as some were distributed to beneficiaries.
8.The Association built an internal network to connect and upgrade its system throughout the past years, as well as an electronic archiving system to safeguard records from loss and destruction, and to facilitate and categorize documents.
9.Land plots are now being allocated in the remaining Governorates of the Kingdom.
The Association’s Branches :
1.Ma’an Governorate/Al-Marigha, second floor of the hospitality suite at Prince Hashim Bin Al Hussein High School/Almarigha, as school of the Directorate of Education and Military Culture.
2.Jerash and Ajloun Governorates, at Princess Haya Bint Al Hussein Military Hospital.
3.Mafraq Governorate, at King Talal bin Al Hussein Military Hospital.
A five-year strategic plan was drawn up for the Association (2018-2022); which the Center for Cultural Learning Methods and Skills volunteered to conduct.
It is intended to establish a model center for autism and mental disabilities in Jerash Governorate, to be constructed on a property held by the organization, and is concerned with individuals with mental impairments and autism, in order to assist families of active and retired military members, as well as martyrs’ families, who benefit from the Association. The Association has received these requirements and the financial cost to establish that Center, and many parties were addressed to provide financial support for this project, whose goal is purely humanitarian. Currently, work is underway to provide financial support to establish the Center.
Future Prospects:
1.The "Queen Rania Al Abdullah Association for the Care of Military and Their Families" aspires to be a model of excellence and a success story based on sound strategic planning, with the aim of achieving the main goal of its establishment; which is to provide assistance to the military members and their families, to enable them to meet the life challenges and to focus on their strength elements, and utilize them to raise living standards, as well as inspire those members to work constructively and boost self-confidence.
2.In line with the national objectives and Royal Initiatives, which include raising the quality of services provided to recipients to international best practices, the "Queen Rania Al Abdullah Association for the Care of Military and Their Families" has developed a strategy plan for the coming years (2018-2022), anticipating all challenges and expanding on what has already been accomplished.
3.For the purposes of defining the strategic objectives for the coming years, the main steps that were followed in preparing the strategic plan (2018-2022) included analyzing the internal and external environment, reviewing relevant laws and regulations, reviewing the Association’s vision, mission, core values system and strategic objectives for the years; taking into consideration the simplification of administrative procedures, reviewing the experiences of others, making qualitative comparisons for that, setting clear indicators and goals for the Association for the next phase, and showing the Association’s actual achievements for the previous years and the percentages of changes that have occurred.
4.The plan for the years (2018-2022) aims to build an effective partnership between the Association and those concerned with raising the level of its performance, including employees, members, official and media institutions, civil society institutions and donors. In addition, the Association plans to participate in the implementation of the State policies and plans, which would improve the living conditions of the military members and their families. Further, the Association seeks to implement these policies in cooperation with the concerned partners.
5.Throughout the future, working to open more branches in the Kingdom's remaining governorates.
6.Completing the procedures for allocating plots of land for the benefit of the Association in the remaining Governorates of the kingdom
7.Exploiting and investing the Association's lands in Amman, Zarqa and Jerash, as well as securing long-term financial resources for the Association.
8.Providing the Association with competent and experienced individuals to be trained and hired on a permanent basis.
9.Finding a steady source of income for the Association's fund, by establishing an investment project on the Association's property.
