In implementation of the directives of His Majesty King Abdullah II bin Al Hussein, the Supreme Commander of the Jordan Armed Forces - Arab Army, and under the direct supervision of the Chairman of the Joint Chief of Staff, a comprehensive strategic review was conducted within the Jordan Armed Forces - Arab Army aiming at developing and improving the performance and defensive capabilities of the military institution. One of the most significant outcomes of this review was the establishment of a specialized department concerned with the organization of defense resources and investment management; whose work is concerned with the management and the development of the Armed Forces’ resources sector, and the organization of its investment aspect. This will be accomplished by outlining the Department's strategies and policies in order to meet the investment goals, in proportion to the capabilities available in the Jordan Armed Forces- Arab Army, with its various units and subsidies. Jordan Armed Forces' Department of Defense Resources and Investment Management was established on November 10, 2016, and is linked with the Assistant Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff for Planning, Organization and Defense Resources. The Department is concerned with managing and developing the defense resources sector and the investment aspect in the Jordan Armed Forces - Arab Army. The following investment units belong to the Department of Defense Resources and Investment Management: 1.Jordan Armed Forces Officers Club / Zarqa: It was established on May 5, 1955 in Zarqa Governorate and serves officers of Zarqa Governorate and its neighborhoods, presenting the following services: - - Hotel - Ballrooms, along with seminars and conferences halls. - The restaurant - Swimming pool - Club Garden 2.North Officers Club: Established on June 24, 2014 in the City of Irbid, and serves the officers of Irbid Governorate and its neighborhoods, and presenting the following services:- - Hotel - Ballrooms, along with seminars and conferences halls. - The restaurant - Swimming pool - Club Garden 3.Atyaf Company for Manufacturing Paints and Chemicals: At the end of 2008, particularly on November 17, 2008, the Company was founded as a limited liability company, entirely owned by Jordan Armed Forces. The Company's major objective is to design and manufacture all types of paints (construction, industrial, vehicles and furniture paints, and paints needed by military units) and their accessories for the Jordan Armed Forces. Moreover, the Company produces and manufactures chemical and industrial detergents, acids, bases, as well as carbon, rust, limescale and paint removers, etc.
