Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, Major General Yousef Al-Huneiti, met on Wednesday with Finnish Ambassador to Amman, Anne Meskanen, for talks focused on enhancing military cooperation and addressing regional and international issues of shared concern. The discussions covered ways to expand coordination in military training and exchange of expertise, in addition to developing bilateral defense relations. Al-Huneiti highlighted the deep-rooted historical ties between Jordan and Finland, stressing the importance of reinforcing their strategic partnership in support of both regional and global stability. Meskanen commended Jordan’s pivotal role, under the leadership of His Majesty King Abdullah II, in promoting regional peace and security. She noted that her visit aimed to further bolster defense cooperation, building on the strong and longstanding relationship between the two nations. The meeting was attended by senior officers from the Jordan Armed Forces and the Finnish Defense Attaché.
