The Jordanian Helicopter Unit / Congo 1, operating within the International Peacekeeping Forces, celebrated the birthday of His Majesty King Abdullah II on Wednesday at the mission site in the Democratic Republic of Congo / Goma, reflecting a deep sense of belonging and high morale among the unit members.The celebration began with a speech by the unit commander, who congratulated His Majesty the King on his birthday, recalling his pioneering humanitarian role in spreading peace and assisting people around the world through the JordanArmed Forces' contributions to international peacekeeping missions, as well as their humanitarian and medical duties in various parts of the world.The ceremony included a film about the life of His Majesty the King, alongside poetry recitations through which the unit members expressed their joy on this special occasion, wishing His Majesty continued health and well-being, and praying for God's protection and strength to continue his blessed journey.This participation marks the first of its kind in international peacekeeping missions within the history of JordanArmed Forces' involvement, as well as the first in the region. It is part of the continued efforts of the Jordanian Armed Forces in contributing to maintaining security and stability, and providing humanitarian assistance to affected populations in various conflict zones worldwide.
