The nucleus of the Royal Air Force was formed in 1948. In the beginning, it consisted of light helicopters where it continued to develop steadily to keep pace with technical developments in the world until it reached its status, using the latest types of aircraft such as the F-16, 3D radars, and the air defense, command, and control system to contribute to the achievement of the tasks and duties assigned to it efficiently and professionally. The Royal Air Force relies entirely on its qualified national technical staff deployed in various specialized directorates in maintaining and sustaining all systems and equipment operating in the Corps from advanced radars and communication devices to the air defense, command, and control systems and the mega maintenance of aircraft, in addition to securing communications services and calibrating the inspection equipment for the public sector. The Royal Air Force pays great importance to the training and qualification process to obtain the highest levels of quality and efficiency of its members. And to achieve this end, it has established many schools and specialized colleges, with a high reputation and qualified distinguished staff, to train various aviation, technical, and administrative specialties for the Royal Air Force staff and foreign staff from many brotherly and friendly forces. The Royal Air Force Believes that joint exercises and sharing experiences are one of the best ways to reach the highest levels of coordination and understanding. Thus it carries out several joint exercises with other air forces from the brotherly and friendly countries.
