The 100th Airdrop of the Arab Army for our people

  • 31/05/2024

For 237 days of savage aggression against people in Gaza, Jordanian aid never ceased. The brave soldiers extended all their strength to rescue the people of Palestine, with His Majesty, Supreme Commander King Abdullah II ibn Al-Hussein, personally overseeing the delivery of aid. This is a clear testament to the Hashemite commitment to people there. As is customary for Jordanians, they gave their all, even when lives were the most precious possession we had. These sacrifices were made by the martyrs of the Arab Army in their battles on the blessed land and its villages.

Today, personnel of the Royal Jordanian Air Force, supported by the heroes of the Special Operations Forces, carried out the 100th airdrop, continuing their support for the resilience of the people of Gaza as they endure the onslaught of the occupying forces. One hundred airdrops, filled with Jordanian aid and goodwill, delivered by the hands of the Arab Army, were no easy task. These operations were complex, fraught with difficulties and risks. Yet, the determination of Jordanians to offer whatever support they could, as is their custom, saw them overcome challenges and hold onto the coals, driven by the nobility of their mission and its successful completion.

Accompanying the airdrops were the ground convoys of goodwill, serving as a vital land bridge to support people. Through the direct support of His Majesty the King, Jordanian diplomacy succeeded in breaking the siege and delivering food and medicine to those in dire need.

The airdrops were a lifeline for people in Gaza, while ground convoys delivered aid. Our field hospitals in Gaza and Khan Younis continued to operate, with Jordanians risking their lives to treat the wounded amidst heavy bombing. They came to ease the suffering, fulfilling their sacred duty and strengthening the bonds of kinship and blood between the two shores.

The Jordanian goodwill for our people in Gaza will continue, with efforts around the clock to ease the suffering of women, children, the displaced, and the wounded. Jordan will remain the lifeline for Palestine, with the Arab Army always at the forefront, offering help, peace, and unwavering dedication.
