Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, Major General Yousef Ahmad Al-Huneiti, met on Sunday, at the General Command, with the Chinese Ambassador to the Kingdom, Guo Wei.During the meeting, Major General Al-Huneiti discussed with the visiting ambassador aspects of cooperation and joint coordination in various defense fields between the armed forces of the two friendly countries, as well as ways to enhance them. A number of issues of mutual interest were also discussed. He praised the level of relations between the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan and the People’s Republic of China, emphasizing the importance of continuing coordination and cooperation in a manner that serves shared interests.For his part, the Chinese Ambassador expressed his appreciation for the pivotal role played by the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, under the leadership of His Majesty King Abdullah II Ibn Al Hussein, in promoting security and stability in the region, affirming his country’s keenness to further develop relations of cooperation with Jordan across various fields.The meeting was attended by a number of senior officers of the Jordan Armed Forces and the Chinese Military Attaché in Amman.
