The Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, Major General Yousef Ahmed Al-Huneity, met today, Thursday, at the General Command of the Armed Forces, the German Chief of Defense, General Carsten Breuer, and the accompanying delegation.The guest was accorded an official military reception ceremony, during which the Guard of Honor lined up to salute him.During the meeting, both sides discussed ways to enhance military cooperation, exchange expertise, and expand joint training and qualification programs between the two friendly armies, particularly in the field of defense industries, which contributes to building military capabilities.Major General Al-Huneity and the visiting delegation also listened to a number of briefings addressing the modernization and development processes being undertaken by the Jordanian Armed Forces in line with the evolving developments in the region.Major General Al-Huneity emphasized the importance of the existing partnership between the Jordanian and German armed forces, noting the Jordan Armed Forces’ keenness to broaden the horizons of cooperation and coordination across various fields, in a way that positively reflects on the level of readiness.For his part, the German Chief of Defense expressed his aspiration for further cooperation and joint coordination, commending the humanitarian efforts exerted by the Jordan Armed Forces and affirming his country’s commitment to developing military cooperation between the two friendly nations.At the end of the visit, which was attended by a number of senior officers of the Jordan Armed Forces and the German Defense Attaché in Amman, General Carsten Breuer recorded a message in the VIP Guest Book.
