Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Inspects the National Service Training Center and Reviews Its Readiness to Receive Conscripts

The Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, Major General Yousef Ahmed Al-Hunaity, on Monday visited the National Service Training Center / Shuwaier, where he was welcomed by the Director of the Mobilization and National Army Directorate and the Center Commander.

Major General Al-Hunaiti, in the presence of several senior officers of the armed forces, reviewed the logistical preparations and readiness related to the national service program, in addition to discussing the training plans aimed at enhancing the service system to empower youth and strengthen their national participation.

Major General Al-Hunaity emphasized the importance of implementing the royal directives undertaken by the armed forces in preparing and equipping youth with the necessary skills to support the national sectors, indicating the General Command’s commitment to providing the latest training requirements to ensure the achievement of the program’s goals.

Major General Al-Hunaity toured the center's facilities, and reviewed the services to be provided and the infrastructure for those included in the national service program, which includes indoor and outdoor halls, clubs, fields, and the medical center, in addition to programs aimed at enhancing discipline and instilling concepts of loyalty and belonging to create an aware and conscientious generation of the responsibilities entrusted to them, reflecting the pivotal role of the armed forces in building youth capabilities.

At the end of the visit, Major General Al-Hunaity commended the efforts of the center's staff, confirming the armed forces' continuation in developing the national service programs to enhance youth participation in comprehensive national development pathways.

The program targets male youth born in 2007, where they will be selected through a precise electronic mechanism, and distributed across three training phases, each including 2,000 conscripts, with the first phase starting on February 1, 2026, supervised by the armed forces, in the fully equipped Shuwaier National Service Training Centers, followed by the second and third phases consecutively according to the approved schedules.
