The Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, Major General Yousef Ahmed Al-Hunaiti, on Tuesday met the Sudanese Minister of Defense, Lieutenant General Hassan Daoud Kabron Kayan, and the accompanying delegation at the General Command of the Jordanian Armed Forces – Arab Army.

An official military reception ceremony was accorded to the guest, during which he inspected a guard of honor that lined up to salute him.

During the meeting, the two sides discussed aspects of military cooperation and coordination between the Jordan Armed Forces and their Sudanese counterparts in the defense and training fields, as well as the latest developments of mutual interest, which would contribute to enhancing "strategic" interests, security, and stability in the region.

The Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff emphasized the depth of relations between the armed forces of the two brotherly countries, underscoring the importance of continuing military coordination across all fields in a way that positively reflects on defensive capabilities and the development of joint competencies.

For his part, the Sudanese Minister of Defense expressed his appreciation for the high level of professionalism demonstrated by the Jordan Armed Forces, commending their leading role in supporting regional security and stability.

At the end of the meeting, which was attended by the Sudanese Ambassador and Military Attaché in Amman, as well as a number of senior officers of the Jordan Armed Forces, the Sudanese Minister of Defense signed the guestbook.
