Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, Major General Yousef Ahmed Al-Hnaity, met today, Sunday, with the Greek Ambassador to Amman, Irene Riga, at his office in the General Command headquarters.

During the meeting, Major General Al-Hnaity and the ambassador discussed a number of issues of mutual interest in various military fields that connect the two friendly countries. They also explored ways to enhance bilateral relations and joint cooperation, as well as the latest developments in the regional arena.

For her part, the Greek ambassador expressed her appreciation for the efforts made by the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, under the leadership of His Majesty King Abdullah II, in promoting security and stability in the region. She also praised the significant role played by the Jordan Armed Forces in humanitarian missions and peacekeeping, as well as the distinguished level they have achieved in training and military professionalism.

The meeting was attended by a number of senior officers from the Jordan Armed Forces – Arab Army.
