The Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, Maj. Gen. Yousef Ahmed Al-Hunaiti, visited today, Wednesday, the frontier of the 8th Royal Border Guard Battalion, one of the units of the 3rd Border Guard Brigade under the Southern Military Zone. He was received by the Zone's commander.

Maj. Gen. Al-Hunaiti was briefed by the commanders on the progress of operational and logistical matters, as well as the efforts made to protect the border front. They also discussed the zone's role in preventing various forms of infiltration and smuggling to maintain the security and stability of the Kingdom. Several senior Armed Forces officers attended the visit.

Maj. Gen. Al-Hunaiti toured the zone’s frontier and inspected the readiness of the Border Guard personnel. He commended the tremendous efforts exerted by the brave members of the Border Guard units in their various positions and their role in defending our beloved country and protecting its resources.

He affirmed that the process of equipping border fronts with cutting-edge devices and equipment is ongoing to ensure the Armed Forces fulfill their mission of defending the Kingdom's borders.

During his tour, Maj. Gen. Al-Hunaiti met with the Border Guard personnel, commending the efforts of the brave Arab Army soldiers in their various positions and praising the high morale of the Southern Military Zone’s personnel.
