On Thursday, the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, Major General Yousef Al-Hunaiti sponsored the religious ceremony held by the General Command of the Jordan Armed Forces on the occasion of the anniversary of Al-Isra and Al-Mi'raj.The ceremony began with the royal salute and a recitation of verses from the Holy Quran.The Mufti of the Armed Forces said: "This is a blessed day in which we gather to celebrate a sacred religious occasion, a profound event that demonstrates our noble religion calls for the purification of souls, the clarity of hearts, and the spread of virtue among nations and peoples. It also promotes lofty values, noble morals, and virtuous humanitarian principles, so that justice prevails, peace spreads, and security, tranquility, and harmony are achieved."He added that the Hashemite leadership will continue to hold guardianship over Jerusalem's holy sites, defending them internationally and fulfilling their historic and legitimate role with pride. He highlighted the lessons of Al-Isra and Al-Mi'raj, affirming that divine support comes from heaven when earthly means fail, and that the One who aided the Prophet, peace be upon him, can grant victory to His nation at any time.The ceremony, attended by senior officers of the Jordan Armed Forces, included religious hymns commemorating the life, message, and noble morals of the Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him, performed by a number of imams from the Directorate of Military Ifta.
