Yousef Ahmed Al-Hunaiti, received the Cypriot Minister of Defense, Vassilis Palmas, and the accompanying delegation today, Wednesday, at his office at the General Command.A military reception ceremony was held for the guest, during which he reviewed the honor guard lined up to salute him.Major General Al-Hunaiti discussed with the visiting delegation the developments occurring in the region and ways to exchange expertise in several areas that serve the armed forces of the two friendly countries.AL-Huneiti emphasized the importance of continued cooperation in the field of defense and the exchange of expertise in various military and technological areas, in a manner that reflects positively on the defensive capabilities and potential of both armies.For his part, the Cypriot Minister of Defense appreciated the strategic cooperation between the two armies, the modernization processes, and the efforts of the Jordanian Armed Forces at various levels. He emphasized the importance of strengthening defense cooperation and future plans to face various challenges.AL-Huneiti and Palmas signed a joint cooperation agreement in the field of defense between the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan and the Republic of Cyprus.The agreement aims to utilize shared expertise to achieve cooperation between the two parties in the areas of training and exercises, in addition to participation in military equipment exhibitions, conferences, and seminars, as well as fostering bilateral cooperation between the two friendly countries.At the end of the visit the guest wrote a message in the VIP guestbook. Several senior officers of the Jordan Armed Forces – the Arab Army attended the visit.
