Today, Monday, 9, Sep 2024, the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, Major General Yousef Ahmed Al-Hunaity, visited the Directorate of Military Operations and was received by its director.Al-Hunaity was briefed by the Director of Military Operations on the tasks, duties, programs, and operational plans carried out by the Directorate, to respond to all field developments at various levels in a way that contributes to maintaining the readiness of the members and units of the Jordan Armed Forces (JAF).Al-Hunaity stressed the pivotal role of the Directorate of Military Operations in the success of JAF, by testing the readiness of the members and units of the Jordan Armed Forces, in addition to its contentious role in carrying humanitarian missions by providing airdrops and land convoys, and follow-up of peacekeeping forces, field hospitals, surgical stations and international observers, commending its partnership with the members of the Jordan Armed Forces and security agencies, which contributes to preserving the national security system.As part of the visit, Major General Al-Hunaity inaugurated the archive of the Directorate of Military Operations, and he was briefed on the archiving mechanism, in soft and hard copies. Al Hunaity viewed a mural that highlighted significant turning points in the armed forces' history, spanning from its founding to the present.At the end of the visit, Al Hunaity met with the directorate’s personnel and conveyed the greetings and confidence of His Majesty King Abdullah II, the Supreme Commander of the Jordan Armed Forces, expressing his pride in the distinguished level, high efficiency, and professionalism in carrying out their duties.The visit was attended by several senior officers of the Jordan Armed Forces - the Arab Army.
