The Final Planning Conference for 2022 Eager Lion drill concluded here on Thursday, in the presence of Jordan Armed Forces-Arab Army (JAF) Director of Military Training, Brig. Gen. Kayed Jarat and senior officers of participating countries.Speaking at the event, Jarat said: "2022 Eager Lion exercise is a great opportunity for the participating troops to test operational defensive capabilities in combating terrorism, border security, maritime security, disaster response and humanitarian aid."During the conference, the drill's scenario was reviewed to simulate strategic changes in the regional and international environment, to meet all participating countries' defense requirements, according to a JAF statement.The work of the conference lasted for five days, during which all activities, plans, preparations, and operational and logistical requirements for its implementation were discussed.On the sidelines of the conference, the Assistant for Operations and Training, Brigadier General Abdullah Al-Shdeifat, listened to a number of specialized briefings from the authorities concerned with implementing the exercise.The Eager Lion 2022 exercise will be attended by 30 countries in addition to Jordan and the United States of America, and its activities will start in September of this year.It is noteworthy that the Eager Lion exercise, which was carried out in previous years, is considered one of the exercises of importance at the global and regional levels, given the volume of activities carried out during it, in addition to the exchange of military experiences between the participants.
