The Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Major General Yousef Ahmad Al-Hunaiti visited Al-Ahliyya Amman University on Monday, within the framework of expanding horizons of cooperation between the Jordanian Armed Forces and local scientific institutions, and he was received by the Chairman of the Board of Directors, Dr. Maher Al-Hourani, and the President of the University, Prof. Dr. Sari Hamdan.Major General Al-Hunaiti listened to a detailed explanation about the stages of establishing the university, its programs, the degrees it grants to graduates, its most important achievements, the goals it seeks to achieve and its contribution to the development of the educational process, and some issues related to technological development to keep pace with modern scientific developments and sponsoring pioneering projects for students.The Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff stressed the importance of university education to qualify Jordanian youth in various disciplines needed by local and regional labor markets, expressing his admiration for the university's academic level, and pointing to the need to strengthen joint cooperation between them.Major General Al-Hunaiti toured Al-Ahliyya Amman University Center for Cyber Security, and was briefed on the working mechanism of the center's educational halls and laboratories.The visit was attended by a number of senior officers of the Jordanian Armed Forces - the Arab Army, members of the University's Board of Trustees, and members of the university's teaching and administrative staff.
